Well it might, but so what? its only traceroute with a few extra bits
thrown in.

I don't need it to tell me that you are posting if not from, at least
via Level3 communications in Colorado.

Which begs the question of what you are doing on a UK newsgroup, anyway.

Along with many of the other alpha techies in this newsgroup, yes I do.
Which means I know exactly how ludicrous your claims are.

Tell you what, next time I do a Usenet posting from the train, you tell
me which station I'm nearest.

He could tell where I am posting from to the nearest dozen yards

Yeah, but what would be the response if he reported you for abuse ? I know
from my time working at an ISP sitting opposite the abuse dept that
complaints that amount to not much more than "Wahhhh ! They're being mean
to me !" go in the "green ink" bin.

On the other hand, it's certainly livened up ucam.misc. I haven't seen
traffic like this on there for..... Well, I'm not sure I have seen traffic
like this on ucam.misc.

Folks, a gentle reminder that cam.announce is meant to be an announce
only group, not for questions and discussion and I rather suspect that
ucam.misc.announce is the same. Unfortunately on this occasion Mike
forgot to set a Followup-To header but can you please restrict any
further hilarity to cam.misc (or ucam.misc).

See http://cam.misc.org.uk/whichgroup for more on this and general
advice of setting Followup-To headers for a variety of news clients.

Thank you.
